United Arab Emirates Pro League champions Al Wasl have completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Popoola Ridwan from Hungarian side Kisvárda.

The 19-year-old penned a one-year contract with the UAE club, although the financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Ridwan joined Kisvárda in February 2025 from Nigerian academy side Seamoriow FC, where he quickly established himself as one of the club’s promising young talents.

His impressive performances earned him a move to the UAE champions as he continues his development at the professional level.

The young midfielder is expected to strengthen Al Wasl’s squad ahead of the new season as the club prepares to defend its domestic title and compete in continental competitions.
