JBS STARS DEFEATS ALASCA FC 2:1 IN A FRIENDLY MATCH

…As WOFBI Ends Junior Bible School August Session in a Grand Style

JBS Stars on Saturday 16th August, secured a 2:1 victory over Alasca FC of Ikot Ekpene in a friendly football match to mark the end of the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI) Junior Bible School (JBS) August Special 2025.

The keenly contested encounter, held at the Kingdom Heritage Model School (KHMS) playground, was witnessed by parents, teachers, and church members respectively.

Speaking at the event, Pastor Nwachukwu, before the commencement of the match, commended the footballers and organizers for using sports to instill discipline and teamwork in the children, describing football as a platform to foster love and unity.

“What we witnessed today goes beyond football; it is a platform to teach our children unity, sportsmanship, and godly values that will guide them in life, and I must appreciate you all for putting this up,” he said.

He stressed that football is one of the sports that keeps individuals fit, healthy, and equally expands their horizons and thinking capacity.

On her part, Deaconess Blossom lauded the footballers for their enthusiasm throughout the Junior Bible School and the energy displayed during the match, noting that no one is a loser.

“The JBS August Special has been impactful, and this football match was a beautiful way to round it off. The children have learned not only the word of God but also the importance of working together as a team,” she stated.

She called on the church leaders, parents, and the entire congregation to continue supporting the children in any project or programme they wish to achieve or execute.
