The member representing Abak/Ika/Etim Ekpo in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Clement Jimbo, has officially revalidated his membership with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his ward, Abak Urban 1.

The revalidation exercise, which took place on Monday, August 4, 2025, saw the lawmaker join other party faithful and new members to confirm his authenticity as a full member of the party.
Hon Jimbo who shared the news on his official Facebook page, noted that, “In obedience to the directive of our Governor Umo Eno, who is also the leader of our great party, APC, in Akwa Ibom State, I have re-validated my party membership in my ward – Abak Urban 1 as a show of party discipline and loyalty”.
He explained that the revalidation process is a crucial step for the APC in Akwa Ibom State, aimed at updating the party’s membership register and welcoming new entrants for the growth and unity of the party and Akwa Ibom State at large.
He noted that this initiative, spearheaded by Governor Umo Eno, seeks to create a more robust and verifiable database of members, ensuring that the party’s structure is solid from the ward level upwards. The governor’s directive has been a rallying call for all elected and appointed officials to lead by example, encouraging every member to participate actively in the exercise”, he added.

“The exercise is not just about updating records but also about fostering a renewed sense of camaraderie and purpose among party members, that is because the revalidation exercise is seen as a strategic move to position the party for upcoming the 2027 general elections, through credible and up-to-date membership register for vital, effective planning and mobilization.
However, the public declaration showcases the Lawmaker’s commitment to the party’s leadership and its ongoing grassroots strengthening efforts for effective leadership, good governance and representation.
