Former Senate President and Ex-Kwara State Governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has pledged financial support to a first-class graduate of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Blessing Oluwafikayo Adisa, to enable her relocate to Italy for postgraduate studies.
Adisa, who graduated with a First Class in Mathematics, recently announced that she had secured a fully funded master’s scholarship in Mathematics at the University of Calabria, Italy. She, however, appealed for financial assistance to cover her relocation expenses.
In a post shared on X, Adisa disclosed that she graduated with a 4.76/5.0 CGPA and expressed excitement over the scholarship opportunity while seeking public support to make the move possible.
Responding to her appeal, Saraki praised her academic excellence and described her achievement as a source of inspiration.
He said no hardworking young Nigerian should lose such an opportunity because of relocation costs and pledged to cover the outstanding expenses required for her trip.
“Dear Blessing, I just came across your tweet, and it truly inspired me. To graduate with a First Class in Mathematics from UNILORIN and then earn a fully funded master’s admission in Italy is an extraordinary achievement,” Saraki wrote.
He added that a member of his team would immediately contact the graduate to facilitate the support, while encouraging her to excel and continue making Nigeria proud.
